Alexander Emelianenko on September 24 will fight with Vyacheslav Datsik according to the rules of boxing. Regardless of the outcome of the fight, the Russian fighter does not plan to end his career in martial arts and is already smoothly promoting a new high-profile confrontation. As a potential opponent, he looked after Alexander Shlemenko.

Storm is in no hurry to take the challenge seriously and jokes that the postponed fight will be a good motivation for Emelianenko to live soberly.

The beginning of the conflict between Alexander Emelianenko and Alexander Shlemenko in the public plane was laid in March 2020. The heavyweight was then outraged by Storm’s critical words about him. Shlemenko suggested that Alexander’s invincibility was just a myth, for which he immediately received a call to battle, and at the same time insulted “cardboard”.

Shlemenko said that he was not a cardboard bzdil and agreed to discuss the conditions of the battle. But somehow it was not possible to agree, as a result of which Emelianenko again called his counterpart a bzdil, though already concrete, and not cardboard. The planned confrontation in the ring or in the octagon became almost impossible.

Storm really did not like the fee, which, according to Match TV, was supposed to be about 100 thousand dollars. True, and the conflict at the same time immediately came to naught. Emelianenko suddenly declared in the press that he had a good relationship with Sasha, he even respected him.

– We discussed our communication through the press, Alexander said: “You understand, in order to force people to watch a fight in Russia, you need to stir up interest, cross some line. I’m sorry if my word offended you somewhere. We need to rock the fight so that the public can watch it, ”Shlemenko told Match TV the details of a telephone conversation with a failed opponent.

The conflict between the two eminent fighters seemed to have been settled. Alexander Shlemenko found a reason to aggravate relations with Fedor Emelianenko. The brother of the Last Emperor had his detractors, it seems that he was not going to return to public discussions with Storm. In addition, after kind words addressed to each other, there seemed to be no reason to scandal. But on the eve of the fight with Datsik, Emelianenko suddenly remembered his longtime opponent in verbal battles and again began to call him names.

– He did not think that I would get in shape so quickly and well. I offered him to fight according to the rules of boxing. Do not play Internet karate, sort things out through the press. He does not weigh 84 kg in the off-season, he weighs about 90. In principle, one weight category will be with me. Another warm-up fight or Alexander’s opinion about Storm has deteriorated again? Formally, there was ground for a new round of conflict. Shlemenko criticized Emelianenko for his indifference to alcohol, said that any high school student would drop him now, urged Datsik not to take sin on his soul, hinting that the opponent of Red Tarzan simply would not survive in this battle. In other words, there was something to be offended by. Yes, and without any offense, an attack against a possible opponent is quite explainable.

Alexander Shlemenko is really in no hurry to go to battle, not seriously taking attacks against him. But was he really scared? Yes, he is much lighter than his opponent, but formally he may well fit into the heavy category, as another middleweight Magomed Ismailov did some time ago.

The bald Predator, by the way, confidently dealt with Emelianenko. Shlemenko, in turn, was not afraid to fight with Maga, although this duel has not yet taken place due to the fault of the latter. So it’s not entirely correct to say that Storm is afraid of Alexander. He himself explained the refusal to fight with the desire to help the opponent live in sobriety.

What is his motivation to fight me? To continue to live soberly? This is a motivation not only for him, but for everyone who follows him. If you want a good life, big fights, live soberly, then everything will be fine with you. I will delay this fight longer so that Alexander keeps himself in shape for a long time, and most importantly, in sobriety, ”Shlemenko told REN TV.

Storm’s words really sound noble, and I want to believe that he does not say them in order to disguise some other reason for refusing to fight Emelianenko. If so, then sooner or later MMA fans will be able to enjoy the confrontation between two bright fighters in the ring or in the octagon.
