Russian judoists will not be allowed to compete in international tournaments until January 2023, according to a release on the website of the International Judo Federation (IJF).

Judoists from Belarus have also been suspended from international competitions. The Russians and Belarusians will miss the World Cup, which will be held in October in Tashkent.

Earlier, Match TV reported that representatives of the Judo Federation of Ukraine informed the IJF that they were ready to take part in the World Championship only if Russian and Belarusian athletes did not perform at the tournament in Tashkent.
