WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) talked to Anthony Joshua about the title rounds in the second fight (24-3, 22 KOs).

“In the ninth round, when I missed and there was a prolonged attack from Anthony, I specifically contacted myself. I said this is not my victory. It’s a victory for a lot of people who want it, need it. It’s even a little bit, but necessary.

I say to myself: “Sanya, don’t stop, or the referee will find something for himself and stop the fight.” At one point, I stretched two, turned, riveted, stood up, looked at the judge, turned Anthony. It seems to me that this place was dangerous, but given my attitude towards life, faith, personally God, I had a brief conversation with Heavenly Father in particular: “Give me strength for the next round.” He gave me strength for the ninth lap first, then he gave me strength for the ninth lap,” Usyk said.

Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua by split decision on August 20 and retained the belts.
