Usik: “I brought money from wages to Ukraine after fighting with Joshua”
Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) In an interview with Dmitry Gordon, he talked about how he handled the toll from the fight with Anthony Joshua”:
“After fighting with Joshua, I brought money to Ukraine from wages. Time must pass and I will pay taxes here. I paid taxes where I boxed in all previous fights. They are automatically removed.
And there was no tax in this war. I’ve asked before: How can I be sure that the percentage of taxes goes to mine and not to another country? Lawyers know all this and we are working on it.
In business, I have a principled position: everything is light, white. It seems to me that this era of black works is coming to an end. Because people want to go somewhere in Europe, buy a house, pay for a yacht, a restaurant, a reservation. He is asked where he got the money, but he gets no answer. And I don’t want to be so scared. Stolen money does not bring pleasure and happiness. And when it works, it’s fine.”
