Joyce claims Usyk, but Alexander doesn’t want this fight. Understandable.

Joseph Joyce is now a contender for the WBO heavyweight title. Officially. He can even request a fight from Usyk. Sanctions, obligations and everything else. But Alexander said immediately after the victory over Joshua, “I don’t want to meet with the applicants.”

The Ukrainian is sure that he has time for three fights at the peak of his form. And if everything goes according to plan. And no Joyce for that matter. There’s Fury, even Canelo if he wants to. But Joyce is not like that. Fears?

Tough. Not even Usyk watching this fight. Just why would you do it? Gains skyrocketed with Joshua, the historical relationship is pretty real. Possible fight against Wilder – and this is the USA, again money and a big fight. Canelo is just money. Where is Joyce here? The point now is that Frank Warren didn’t put a rim on the wheel with the WBO. Warren already has two rivals for Usyk – Joe Joyce and Daniel Dubois. The first is for the WBO, the second is for the WBA. So let’s have a rematch. Or they box with other superiors. Dubois is about to leave like Joyce.
