The once promising, and now just the infamous MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko does not want to retire. After a series of high-profile failures, the athlete longs to be rehabilitated in mixed martial arts, but he has not yet been able to solve this problem.

So instead, the Russian is still engaged in the promotion of a personal brand. But not everyone wants to participate in his show. The hockey world champion, for example, did not want to mess with Emelianenko – and sent him off right in front of the camera.

Professionals do not need this circus!

“Skates are not for sale”

Russian MMA fighter Alexander Emelianenko, after losing to Vyacheslav Datsik in a fight according to the rules of boxing, is not going to leave the sport, despite explicit and veiled calls to stop torturing himself and the fans. In November, Phoenix is ​​preparing to fight according to the rules of mixed martial arts with the president of the Arena promotion, Sergey Yerkaev. The fighter also plans a rematch with Red Tarzan, but it is not known whether this fight will interest anyone other than Emelianenko himself.

But not only martial arts intrigue the odious fighter. It seems that he is ready to expand the range of his sports interests and step out of his comfort zone. Now Alexander wants to try himself … in hockey.

Recently, the Russian heavyweight was spotted at a match involving KHL teams. On the ice, players from Dynamo Moscow and Severstal from Cherepovets fought for points, and Emelianenko watched the ice battles in the stands. Alexander decided not to hide his new hobby and shared a video on social networks with subscribers, where he diligently sang the anthem, and later talked with Soviet hockey legend Alexander Maltsev.

Taking the opportunity, the fighter asked the two-time Olympic champion to teach him how to skate. However, Alexander Nikolayevich did not feel great enthusiasm for Emelianenko’s idea – and tried to quickly end the dialogue with the athlete:

– Teach me a lesson, please. Teach me how to skate. Don’t ride, just stand.

– It looks like you’re standing.

– On skates.

– I need to buy skates.

– I will buy.

– They are not for sale. There are no Soviet ones.

Maltsev’s answers clearly confused the fighter. However, Emelianenko did not want to put up with the obvious unwillingness of the legendary hockey player to help him master the art of hockey. He promised to somehow get out of the situation, after which Alexander Nikolayevich hurried to leave the frame.

Apparently, the world champion is well aware of the reputation that Emelianenko has developed in recent years – and what the fighter is doing now. Self-respecting professionals do not want to get involved in the freak show that Alexander spins around his person – and in this sense, a seemingly modest episode from the athlete’s social networks is very indicative.
