Former World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight boxing champion American Deontay Wilder defeated Finn Robert Helenius.

The fight in New York ended with Wilder’s victory by knockout in the first round. The American boxer landed the decisive blow with his right hand.

Wilder returned to the ring a year later: in his previous fight in October last year, he lost to Briton Tyson Fury and could not regain the WBC belt.

In the professional ring, 36-year-old Wilder won 43 fights (42 by knockout) with two losses and one draw, on account of 38-year-old Helenius 31 wins (20 ahead of schedule) and four losses.
