Emelianenko married his ex-wife. She waited for a fighter from prison and endured his drunkenness

Alexander and Polina decided to start all over again.

“The best day” – this is how Alexander Emelianenko described the Friday event on social networks. On this day, the fighter did not sign a contract with the UFC, did not agree on a rematch with Vyacheslav Datsik, and did not even publicly reconcile with his brother Fedor. For Phoenix, a much more important event happened – he got married.

Alexander made his final choice on his ex-wife. Polina repeatedly supported the fighter after parting. Emelianenko entrusted her heart.

“I’m fine”

Russian mixed style fighter Alexander Emelianenko once again crossed the threshold of the registry office. Phoenix decided to marry for the third time, choosing a lady he knew well. Alexander’s chosen one was his ex-wife Polina, nee Seledtsova. For the first time, Emelianenko managed to win the heart of a girl while in the Butyrka pre-trial detention center. The 22-year-old passion was not embarrassed by the fact that the fighter was behind bars due to rape charges.

Polina waited for her husband to be released. Together they lived for about two years, but in 2018 it became known that the union had broken up. What influenced this decision, one can only guess. However, even if we start only from the facts from the life of Emelianenko, leaked to the press in the “scandals” section, it is easy to assume that the couple’s family life was repeatedly tested for strength due to some of the fighter’s abuses.

“You have no idea how much I want to swear. But you will misunderstand. Calm down, everything is fine with me, – with these words on social networks, Alexander officially completed the first series of his relationship with Polina.

Renewal of the union

But the divorce did not put an end to their relationship. Former spouses periodically appeared in joint photos, and in 2019 it became known from their personal social networks that the couple got married in Greece. Having entered into a marriage, as they say, “in heaven”, Alexander and Polina were in no hurry to go to the “earthly” registry office.

The relationship of the fighter with his passion after the wedding ceremony was shrouded in mystery and did not allow us to say unequivocally that the couple has always been together since then. At least in the summer of 2020, it came as a surprise to many that Polina came to Sochi to support Alexander, who was to fight Magomed Ismailov.

It is quite possible that the couple converged and diverged depending on the period that Emelianenko was going through. Almost a two-year segment of the fighter’s biography is full of dark spots. Alexander either began to prepare for the announced fights, or got into unpleasant situations, sometimes going beyond the law.

However, we can say with confidence that Alexander was preparing for the duel with Vyacheslav Datsik, having constant support in the person of his ex-wife. Emelianenko shared with subscribers photo reports from Yekaterinburg, where he was getting in shape before the fight. In some frames, he was captured with Polina, and there was no doubt that they remained a couple.

The fact that the former spouses intend to go to the registry office, who are not indifferent to the career and life of a fighter, became known back in August. However, due to some circumstances, the solemn event had to be postponed until October. In the end, the “best day” nevertheless came – Emelianenko officially renewed the union with his ex-wife. Let’s hope that this event will have a beneficial effect on the life of a fighter who has embarked on the path of correction.
