Makhachev and Oliveira went through the weigh-in before the title fight at UFC 280, Ian and O’Malley also made weight
Russian fighter Islam Makhachev and Brazilian Charles Oliveira went through the weigh-in procedure before the title fight at the UFC 280 tournament.
Makhachev’s weight was 70.08 kg, Oliveira showed the same result. The fighters successfully entered the light weight limit – 70.3 kg.
Makhachev and Oliveira will lead the tournament in Abu Dhabi. For the 31-year-old Russian, who has 22 wins and one loss, this will be the first fight for the title.
Russian fighter Petr Yan and American Sean O’Malley also made weight before the fight at the tournament. Athletes kept within the limit of the lightest weight. Jan showed 61.69 kg, O’Malley – 61.46 kg.
Previously, Yang fought three times for the belt and was the UFC champion in this weight category. Yang has 16 wins and 3 losses in MMA. O’Malley has 15 wins and 1 loss.
Also, participants in the UFC 280 co-main fight TJ Dillashaw and Aljamain Sterling successfully passed the weigh-in. The weight of the fighters was 61.2 kg.
