The misadventures of Russian fighter Petr Yan in the UFC did not end after two offensive defeats from Sterling. At the tournament in Abu Dhabi, the Russian fighter was waiting for another painful blow to his reputation and track record.
Yan urgently needs to change something in his career, especially since the Russian has recently been judged unfairly in the UFC. Fortunately, there are a great many worthy options for such a bright fighter.

In April, Yang forfeited his win, also losing a split decision to Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title. Then the UFC also sounded a lot of well-deserved reproaches.
It is worth remembering the first fight with Sterling, when Yan was disqualified, having bought into the excellent acting of an American after a forbidden strike by a Russian. Then they took away not just a victory from Peter – he also lost the title of champion, which the fighter, apparently, will not return in the near future.

In such a situation, it is quite reasonable for a Russian fighter to take a break in performances and think about the further continuation of his career. Now Peter has several interesting options. Any serious organization will certainly be ready to accept such an eminent and bright fighter.
The Asian promotion One FC has gained a lot of weight in the world of mixed martial arts in recent years – it is especially popular in the East. The company holds major events and offers its fighters good fees – fortunately, there is enough money in Asia. In favor of this option for Jan, his habit of preparing for fights in Thailand also speaks. Switching to One FC will save Petr from unnecessary travel while preparing for fights.
They will not refuse the invitation of such a strong fighter to Bellator. Scott Cocker will probably have a few extra hundred thousand dollars in his account to sign our athlete – if only to wipe his nose with the main competitors from the UFC.
