Lomachenko explains why he agreed to fight Ortiz
Former world champion in three weight divisions Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs) explained why he agreed to fight against Jemaine Ortiz (16-0-1, 8 KOs).
“I think Ortiz is a young and ambitious fighter. He is undefeated, has good technique and other aspects of boxing.
In principle, there was no specific option, because for obvious reasons I took a long break in my career. I couldn’t fight the best fighters right after that break. It just didn’t make sense. That’s why I was offered two potential competitors and I chose Ortiz because he was undefeated,” Lomachenko told Yahoo!
On October 29, Vasily will fight against Jemaine Ortiz.
