Vasily Vakulenko: “Yan’s victory was obvious to me”
Vasily Vakulenko commented on the result of the fight of the former UFC bantamweight champion, BC PARI ambassador Petr Yan.
“Peter’s victory was obvious to me. Perhaps he lost because of the sympathy of the judges for the opponent. This evening, several of our athletes won the tournament, maybe this is the reason. The fight was interesting, all three rounds Peter showed a high level. However, a combination of factors determined the result.
I would like to wish Peter not to despair and continue to move forward. The more difficult the path, the sweeter the victory. I know Peter personally as a wonderful person and an amazing athlete. I am sure that all the great achievements are ahead of him.”
Recall that on October 22, at the UFC 280 tournament in Abu Dhabi, Peter Yan and Sean O’Malley fought. The American won by split decision.
