The huge Brazilian destroyed Orlovsky in the first round. Strangled in 3 seconds! Video
The winning streak of the UFC veteran was interrupted by a crushing defeat.
The UFC Vegas 63 tournament was supposed to be a big test of strength for Andrey Orlovsky, a veteran of the promotion. Behind the back of the 43-year-old athlete was a series of four victories, and in the fight against the mighty Marcos de Lima, he planned to win another one.
But Orlovsky’s plans were not destined to come true. The Brazilian destroyed Andrei in the first round!
“Dangerous dude with heavy hands”
Belarusian mixed martial arts fighter Andrey Orlovsky has long pleased UFC audiences with his performances: he had his first fight back in November 2000. Now the 43-year-old athlete is one of the main veterans of the promotion. On his account, before the next tournament, there were as many as 38 fights – the legendary Donald Cerrone had the same number.
At the UFC Vegas 63 tournament, Andrey had to bypass the American and take a clear second place in the number of fights held in the organization. Also, Pitbull could repeat Miller’s achievement in terms of the number of victories in the UFC, but for this, Orlovsky needed to win against the strong Marcos de Lima (20-9-1). The Brazilian fighter, although not in the top 15 of the organization, boasts impressive dimensions and a good ability to take a punch – only once in his career did he lose by knockout.
But Orlovsky, even before the fight, knew the opponent’s strengths and weaknesses well. The fighters trained in the same gym and even sparred several times, practicing wrestling. Andrei had a clear plan for the duel against the Brazilian.
“I saw his fight against Ben Rothwell. This time. We train in the same gym. This is two. Thirdly, this is a dangerous dude with heavy hands. With him, you need to hold your hands high and be ready for strikes, ”the Metaratings portal quotes Orlovsky as saying.
Pitbull also soberly assessed his chances of an early victory. Andrei assumed that he was unlikely to win before the second or third round, since the opponent is famous for his endurance and good physical data.
It didn’t even take one round.
The duel from the first seconds of the starting round was the collapse of all hopes for Orlovsky and his fans. The blows of the Belarusian did not cause any damage to the opponent at all. There was a feeling that there was an unshakable wall in front of Andrey! Within 20 seconds, the Brazilian himself delivered a powerful blow with his left hand from below, which hit the Belarusian in the jaw right.
The shocked Pitbull fell back onto the canvas. Lima rushed to finish off the opponent and began to beat the head of the Belarusian from all sides. However, Andrei managed to recover and began to defend himself. But after a few seconds, the Brazilian began to take the opponent’s back, trying at the same time to carry out a choke hold.

Orlovsky resisted as best he could, trying to escape from the capture of Lima, but the opponent’s huge hands did not allow this. At the same time, the Brazilian periodically hit Pit Bull on the head, provoking him to make a mistake. And he succeeded: after the next series, Andrei still gave his neck to his opponent, and it took him less than three seconds to force the Belarusian to surrender.
