Lopez: ‘Lomachenko ripped Ortiz apart so the fight was one-sided’
Former Undisputed World Lightweight Champion Teofimo Lopez (17-1, 13 KOs) shared his views on the fight between former world lightweight champion Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) and American Jamaine Ortiz (16-1-1, 8 KOs).
“Jermain Ortiz started strong and did his job. So he throws a lot of punches, some of them are down. He seems to be preparing very hard for this fight, but the question is in the final rounds. With Loma you need to keep the stability.
I think after a while Lomachenko found his rhythm and started deciphering Ortiz. “It brought it to a point where you can clearly see how the fight became one-sided from now on,” Lopez said.
On the night of 29-30 October in New York, Vasily Lomachenko defeated the USA’s Jemaine Ortiz by points.
