Boxer from Kazakhstan is in critical condition after being knocked out in a championship fight – media
Boxer from Kazakhstan Aidos Yerbosynuly was put into a coma after being knocked out in a fight against Cuban David Morrell Jr., BoxeoPlus.com reports citing an unnamed source.
The fight took place last Saturday in the USA and ended in the 12th round, when, after another attack by Morrel, the referee stopped the fight. The Cuban defended the title of “regular” world middleweight champion according to the World Boxing Association (WBA).
After the fight, 30-year-old Yerbosynuly ended up in a Minneapolis hospital, where he was put into a medically induced coma to treat a dangerous head injury, a subdural hematoma.
Aidos suffered his first defeat in the professional ring with 16 victories.
