As part of a boxing show with the participation of Zagitova and Buzova, Ismailov and ex-UFC fighter Perry may fight

As part of a boxing tournament with the participation of Olympic figure skating champion Alina Zagitova and singer Olga Buzova, a fight between Russian Magomed Ismailov and former UFC fighter American Mike Perry can take place.

Ismailov and Perry have already fought a battle of views, which ended in a brawl. As promoter Vladimir Khryunov told Match TV, Ismailov’s fee for the fight with the American could be more than 30 million rubles.

– You recently published a poster of the fight between Magomed Ismailov and Mike Perry on your social networks, where the date was indicated – March 10.

– We had an exchange of views. And I, as a promoter, plan to cooperate with BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship). I’m negotiating with (head of the fisticuffs league David) Feldman. Several items. The first is the appearance of Russian fighters in this promotion. If we take the history of fisticuffs, then we have fighters both in quantity and quality of fights that are much higher than today in BKFC. Also, one of the steps is the start of joint events. And Mike Perry – Magomed Ismailov – quite a chic fight in order to start cooperation, – the Match TV website quotes Khryunov as saying.

– Were there any negotiations with Ismailov and Perry?

– We talked about it with Ismailov. I think Ismailov’s fee will be more than for the fight with Alexander Ilic (30 million rubles – ed. note). There is also a fee position for Mike Perry. I think we will spend some time negotiating.

Our task is not to conduct a single battle, but the task is in systemic cooperation.

– Will Ismailov and Perry fight according to the rules of boxing?

– It will be a boxing tournament. But we plan to hold a joint tournament. I am preparing a business invitation.

– BKFC specializes in fisticuffs, and here boxing …

– It’s a business. It is always a conversation about money, some kind of business model and relationships.

– You previously told Match TV that you were planning a boxing fight between Olga Buzova and Alina Zagitova on March 9. And in the poster of the battle between Ismailov and Perry, March 10 was indicated. Too many events in two days?

– No no. This is within the same show. Accordingly (Ismailov’s fight) is planned for March 9th.

Earlier, Khryunov told Match TV that the event involving Zagitova and Buzova would tentatively take place on March 9, 2023 in Moscow.
