Former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Irishman Conor McGregor has expressed his willingness to buy Liverpool Football Club.
Earlier, the American company Fenway Sports Group (FSG) announced that it was ready to sell the club, which it has owned since 2010. The FSG said in a statement that it would “consider the issue of new shareholders if it is in the best interest of Liverpool as a club”.
– With pleasure! I requested information about this as soon as I heard that the team was put up for sale. What a turn of events! What club! — McGregor wrote on Twitter in response to a request from one of the fans.

The accident occurred in the morning on the Lagos-Ibadan highway near Shagamu Junction in the northeast of Lagos, one of the most dangerous roads in the country.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps of Nigeria, Joshua’s Lexus SUV collided with a truck parked on the side of the road. According to preliminary data, the SUV was traveling above the speed limit and crashed during an overtaking maneuver.
There were 5 people in the car. As a result of the accident, 2 people died. The other two passengers were not injured. Anthony Joshua was rescued alive with minor injuries. He was taken to the hospital for medical examination and treatment. Law enforcement and rescue teams arrived at the scene within minutes of the incident being reported.
Ogun State Police confirmed that the exact location of the accident was a section of the highway in front of a petrol station near Shagamu Junction. An official investigation was appointed to establish the full circumstances of the tragedy.
It is understood that Joshua was on his way from Lagos to his parents’ home. The news of the accident shocked his family. Just a few hours before the accident, the boxer posted a video on social networks in a good mood.

The incident occurred on Monday along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Lexus SUV Joshua was in collided with a stationary truck. It is reported that the 36-year-old boxer, who was sitting behind the driver, received minor injuries and was hospitalized.
According to an eyewitness, two people died in the accident: a passenger sitting next to the driver and a person in the back seat next to Joshua. The remaining victims were taken to the hospital.
The local police commissioner said an investigation into the incident has been ordered.
