“The fight between Emelianenko and Dziuba would unite fans of martial arts and football, the poster is very loud” – the manager of the fighter
Alexander Emelianenko’s manager Nikita Burchak told Match TV that a fight between Russian MMA fighter and football player Artem Dzyuba could gather a huge audience.
Earlier, promoter Alexander Khryunov announced his readiness to organize such a fight. Emelianenko said that he would have agreed to this fight, but added that Dziuba had no chances in such a meeting. President of AMC Fight Nights Kamil Gadzhiev, in a comment to Match TV, said that he did not believe in holding such a fight, but suggested that Artem could surprise Alexander in a fighting cage.
– Naturally, we do not consider Dziuba as a rival. But once they started talking about it, and this topic has a response from the audience – and we are primarily concerned about the interests of our dear fans – I think the duel with Dzyuba would cause a stir. Yes, it would rather have an exhibition character. And the audience for such a fight would be just huge. Fans of martial arts and football would unite. And with the right presentation, this would have a good effect on the popularization of sports. I don’t see anything wrong with that. People in pop MMA fight without training at all, and Dziuba is a professional athlete and is fond of martial arts. The duel between Alexander Emelianenko and Artyom Dziuba is a very high-profile poster, but I repeat, this is more of an exhibition fight, ”Burchak told Match TV.
