The referee allowed Mineev to brutally finish off the opponent. The Russian did not stop for 1.5 minutes

On November 18, Vladimir Mineev will fight Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez in a three-round kickboxing match. The fight in Moscow, after which Volzhanin is going to pause his career, may well turn out to be problematic for him. The overall opponent at the weigh-in turned out to be 20 kilograms heavier. The only defeat in MMA to Vladimir at one time was inflicted by a Brazilian who outnumbered the Russian by only five kg.

True, later Mineev returned the debt to his offender – and with large percentages. In the rematch, he destroyed the opponent for one and a half minutes, while the referee watched the beating blankly.

The indifference of the judge outraged even the winner!

“He’s not interested in me”

In April 2017, at the Fight Nights Global 63 tournament in Vladivostok, the fight between Vladimir Mineev and Maykel Falcao anticipated the main event of the evening, in which Russian Magomedsaygid Alibekov defeated Kazakhstani Kuat Khamitov. Volzhanin’s fight with the Brazilian was not a title fight, but the public was no less interested. A few months earlier, the rivals had already fought in the ring of the Far Eastern city. The victory by decision then went to the South American, however, one important detail underestimated the success of the guest from overseas.

– The man came out against me with a five kilogram advantage, and in fact at that moment I gave him victory by agreeing to this fight. I could refuse and say that a kilogram or two – okay, still in some kind of gate, but five … It was my mistake, I closed my eyes to it and thought that I could handle it anyway. Therefore, I think that, first of all, I lost to myself, ”Mineev said in an interview with Fight Nifght Global.

The former UFC fighter, who lost the Bellator title to Alexander Shlemenko, agreed to a rematch. However, hardly because of some thought about the injustice of his own victory. Falcao quite transparently hinted that the money issue was decisive for him, and without a sufficient amount, even a hypothetical duel with Fedor Emelianenko did not captivate him. What can we say about the much less well-known in the world of MMA Mineev.

– By and large, he is not interesting to me, – Falcao honestly admitted in an interview with the city portal of Vladivostok VL.ru

“Point set”

Falcao’s upcoming fight was not so interesting that he again did not fit into the middle weight category. True, this time everything was discussed in advance, and therefore Vladimir picked up in order to equalize the chances. By the way, in other respects, the Russian had an advantage: he was five centimeters superior to his opponent and was nine years younger. According to experts, Mineev had good chances to be rehabilitated for the first defeat in his career.

Vladimir hurried to justify his status as a favorite from the first seconds of the fight, taking the center of the cage and starting to test the Brazilian for strength with low kicks. Then it came to good punches. Passed the uppercut, managed to hook the opponent with the side. Perhaps these blows were not particularly dangerous, but the Russian looked clearly better, moving faster than his opponent and demonstrating superior strength.

In the first fight, by the way, Mineev also started well, but later got hooked. When the Brazilian began to respond and try to take control of the fight, some fans had a fleeting deja vu. But the lust disappeared quickly enough. Vladimir dealt the opponent a solid blow to the body, pinned him to the net and rushed to finish off.

Falcao did not actively defend himself, so the fans, commentators, and even, perhaps, the fighters themselves were waiting for the referee to stop beating. A couple of dozen unanswered blows have already passed – but the judge Denis Sivoplyas was still blankly watching. Mineev continued to beat, and the Brazilian suffered, but nothing changed. The referee only encouraged the unfinished guest, demanding activity from him.

The fact that the referee had not forgotten about his duties was only understood when he forbade Vladimir to hit his opponent on the spine. Mineev was already tired of attacking, and Falcao even made a timid attempt to get to his feet. However, taking a breath, Volzhanin again brought down a hail of blows on the unfortunate enemy. After another protracted series, the referee nevertheless decided to end this misunderstanding. However, questions about what happened remained, and even the winner.

– This story has come to an end. Maykel did not lose weight again, as expected. The referee in the ring Sivoplyas struck even me with his incompetence and bloodthirstiness,” Vladimir wrote on social networks.

One way or another, the only defeat was closed – since then, Mineev has not lost a single time.
