Prochaska relinquished his UFC title. Ankalaev will fight for the vacant belt

The UFC press service reported that Magomed Ankalaev and the Pole Jan Blachowicz will head the card of the UFC 282 tournament. Their fight will be the title fight in the light heavyweight division. The fight is scheduled for December 10 in Las Vegas.

Initially, the main event of the tournament was supposed to be a rematch between UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jiri Prochazka and Brazilian Glover Teixeira. However, Prochazka was forced to pull out of the fight due to a shoulder injury. Prochaska relinquished the title. According to the manager of the Czech Tim Simpson, the fighter will need surgery, it is possible that he will miss more than a year.

30-year-old Ankalaev won 17 victories with one defeat in his career. Blachowicz, 39, has 29 wins and nine losses.
