Russian mixed style fighter Islam Makhachev said that he had begun preparing for the title fight with Australian Alexander Volkanovski.
Makhachev will defend his UFC lightweight title on February 12 against Volkanovski.

Makhachev is 31 years old, he has 23 wins and one loss in MMA. The 34-year-old Volkanovski has 25 wins and one loss. The Russian is the UFC lightweight champion (up to 70.3 kg), Volkanovski holds the belt in the category up to 65.8 kg.
