How quickly the Pole changed his shoes! Nobility in relation to the Russian turned out to be fake

Jan Blachowicz no longer considers himself a loser. Yes, and gloating over Ankalaev.

The scandalous decision of the judges after the fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blakhovitch for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title made a lot of noise. The fight was determined to be a draw, which is why the Russian fighter immediately expressed dissatisfaction right in the cage. The fans were also surprised by the act of the Polish athlete, who even before the announcement of the result hinted at the victory of Ankalaev, and then even called for the belt to be given to the Russian.

That’s just his nobility Blachowicz very quickly crossed out. A day after the fight, he unexpectedly agreed with the verdict of the judges. Yes, and for some reason touched Ankalaev.

What happened, Jan?

“The guy was crying and talking about injuries”

The fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blakhovych at UFC 282, unfortunately, became resonant not because of a cool knockout or an exciting picture of the fight, but because of judicial arbitrariness. The fight was declared a draw, although after the final whistle, hardly anyone doubted the victory of the Russian fighter. Ankalaev was named the winner not only by the vast majority of fans, experts and journalists, but even by current and former fighters.

Moreover, a couple of seconds before the announcement of the verdict, Blachowicz pointed his hand in the direction of Ankalaev, hinting at his victory. Even in the cage, Yang said that he did not consider himself a winner, and then completely interrupted Ankalaev’s interview, urging the UFC to give the champion belt to the Russian fighter. For such a noble act, Blachowicz was praised by many fans and fighters. However, the Polish athlete quickly changed his mind.

A day after the fight, Jan turned to his fans on social networks with new thoughts about the last fight, and even touched Ankalaev completely unreasonably:

“Let me say something. First, to be honest, I don’t think the fight was terrible. Second, I don’t feel like I’ve won, but I don’t feel like I’ve lost either. The draw was a fair result. The end result is that one guy was crying and talking about his alleged injuries, another showed that honor still stands in this sport. I’m glad the fans see and appreciate it,” Blachowicz wrote.

It seems that the Polish fighter reviewed the fight and did not see his defeat in it. Well, he has every right to. On the emotions after the fight, you can say anything, but after such a noble behavior in the cage, Blachowicz could clearly turn to Magomed again, explaining to him with the same respect that he changed his mind on the decision of the judges. Otherwise, all this looks like an ordinary “change of shoes” and does not paint Jan at all.

In addition, the statement of the Pole about the “talk about injuries” by Ankalaev is completely incomprehensible. Nothing like this came from the lips of the Russian fighter. He only said that, despite the broken leg, he did everything to win. Perhaps all this is just the cost of an inaccurate translation, but whatever one may say, Blachowicz’s new statement seems very ridiculous.

2020 Olympics champion boxer Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his career

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.

At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

— I want to tell you honestly about my plans. Many people ask about their future career. Now I have decided to take a conscious break from my professional career. For me, boxing has been and remains a huge part of my life. Therefore, this choice is now very difficult. My whole sports life has been a race to the top: four Russian championships, an Olympic medal in Tokyo and then turning professional, where I went undefeated.

The last fight on July 2 was a turning point for me. The first defeat made me look at many things differently. I thank Allah for the trials and mercies that helped me become a better person. Since I have always felt a responsibility not only in the ring, but also before society, now is the time to become more active in projects that I have long planned, for example, supporting the development of sports infrastructure in my native regions. This doesn’t mean I’m saying goodbye to the ring. I remain an active boxer. But now all my work is outside of it. I thank everyone for their incredible support along this path: both in moments of triumph and in moments of challenge. She gives strength. I promise this new chapter will be just as honest and purposeful. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just saying “goodbye,” Batyrgaziev wrote in the Telegram channel.

Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.
