Alexander lost to a fighter without professional experience. It hurts to watch him suffer.

Leaving on time is not about Alexander Emelianenko. The more fights Phoenix holds, the more obvious that attempts to revive his career are doomed.

In a colorful and clearly worn out fighter, it is no longer possible to recognize the once top Russian MMA pro, whose victories were admired by millions of fans.

Now Emelianenko’s performances look like hellish torments, and the results are appropriate. This time, Alexander managed to lose to the blogger 25 kg lighter than himself.

Won’t he leave again?

“Who am I to end his career?”

Alexander Emelianenko has not entered the cage against really strong professionals for a long time not at the end of his career. All his recent activities are more like trying to cash in on a glorious and scandalous past.

The memories of the confrontation between Emelianenko Jr. and Vyacheslav Datsik are still fresh in my memory. Fans of mixed martial arts followed the recovery of the fighter in the rehabilitation center of Yekaterinburg, where Alexander heroically tried to regain his health lost in the spree.

After a devastating defeat in the first seconds of the fight, many fans literally asked the fighter to end his career and think about a future without mixed martial arts. But Alexander decided not to listen to them and continue to fight.

Alexander’s next opponent was blogger Svyatoslav Kovalenko, who himself calls MMA a hobby and has no professional experience. His entire career is limited to a few fights in pop MMA with colleagues in the shop. In addition, he is 25 kg lighter than his opponent.

“He ran away from me”

The duel between Emelianenko and Kovalenko consisted of three rounds of three minutes each. You have to give credit to Alexander. Over the time since the defeat from Datsik, the fighter has made serious progress. He began to move more confidently and looked much fresher. But to fight in the “cage”, this was clearly not enough.

Functional preparation of Alexander did not last long. Already in the middle of the first round, Emelianenko stopped dodging his opponent’s blows. Almost all of Kovalenko’s sweeping attacks reached their goal. Sasha finished the three-minute session with a cut under his left eye. The eminent fighter answered, perhaps with a spectacular sweep at the end of the round.

Emelianenko frankly failed the second round. Already in the first minutes, Kovalenko powerfully hit the head, and Alexander collapsed onto the floor of the octagon. Svyatoslav rushed to finish off his opponent, but did not have time to do this in the allowed minute in the stalls. The fighters were lifted up and finished the round in a standing position. In the last seconds, functionally sat down and Kovalenko.

The third segment began for Emelianenko also badly. The opponent again hit hard, and Alexander fell again. A hint of the revival of the Phoenix appeared only in the very ending. Emelianenko hit well on a clearly tired opponent, but could not finish.

As a result, in a fairly close fight, the judges did not reach a consensus, preferring Kovalenko by a split decision. The result, of course, did not suit Emelianenko.

– I did not expect the judges to give the victory to the opponent. I believe that Kovalenko did not deserve to win. He, of course, hit a couple of times well, but nothing unexpected. He ran away from me. I was ready to fight again if necessary, ”Emelianenko said after the fight.

As in the case of Datsik, Alexander immediately spoke about a re-fight during a conversation with Kovalenko in the locker room. But with each defeat, it is less and less hard to believe that at least someone now Emelianenko will be able to take revenge. And for real MMA fans, it just hurts to see how the legendary fighter suffers in fights with bloggers. The only question is when Emelianenko himself realizes his position.
