Eddie Hearn named the best boxers regardless of their weight category
President of Matchroom Boxing promotion company Eddie Hearn I am confident that WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) can be considered the best boxer regardless of their weight category. However, he could lose the title in a fight against WBC belt holder Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs).
“After beating Usyk, Fury will be in an incredible position, I think it will put him number one in the pound rating. I think it’s very difficult to get the first pound from Canelo after losing to Dmitry Bivol, but they did and I understand the decision.
I believe Terence Crawford or Oleksandr Usyk are currently number one per pound. “I think Tyson Fury has a very good chance of becoming the leader of the pound if he beat Usyk,” Hearn said in an interview with the iFL TV YouTube channel.
