Russian mixed martial artist Rinat Fakhretdinov boasts a rich career, but he has been in the UFC for a short time. The confrontation with the dangerous Brian Battle, nicknamed Winnie the Pooh, was only the second for him in the promotion. The American, before the fight with Rinat, won three victories in a row in the UFC, two of which were ahead of schedule.
In the second fight in the promotion, Rinat did not change himself and again enlisted the support of the legendary Oleg Taktarov in the corner. The UFC champion helped him achieve victory in the previous confrontation.
“I will have the same squad: Oleg Nikolaevich, my coach Parumpa from American Top Team and Marat Kapkaev,” Fakhrutdinov said before the fight.

The fight from the very first seconds went under the dictation of the Russian fighter. Rinat quickly carried out a spectacular takedown and seized the initiative on the ground. The American tried in every possible way to get out of an uncomfortable position, but every time he received hard blows to the head. Toward the end of the first segment, Brian had a serious cut over his left eye, and blood rushed to the floor.
The second round completely repeated the previous one. Fakhretdinov’s dominance was total in all aspects. He quickly laid the opponent on the canvas and beat him, pressing him to the net. But the whole five-minute battle looked helpless.
In the third segment, Rinat was very close to an early victory. He dealt a crushing blow to the right, causing the opponent to get lost and collapse onto the canvas. The gladiator rushed to finish off his opponent, but the American courageously endured Fakhretdinov’s attacks until the final siren. Brian even tried a choke hold, but this attempt was far from successful. As a result of the fight, all three referees gave a confident victory to our fighter, 30-25, 30-25, 30-27.
“Now it’s time for new fighters and new heroes. It’s time to remove the opponents who have stayed in the top 15. I will do it with my own hands, ”Fakhretdinov made a loud statement after the fight.

After the fight, Rinat’s team was in a great mood. They discussed the details of the fight. During the conversation, it turned out that the fight did not go as smoothly as it could. A Russian fighter complained about a man who was engaged in hand taping. He taped his wrists too tight. This led to the fact that Fakhretdinov’s hands were partially numb during the fight.
But this fact did not spoil the mood of the fighter’s team. Even the legendary Oleg Taktarov mocked himself by asking Marat Kapkaev to show him during a live broadcast on social networks with all the belongings of the team.
“The only thing Oleg Taktarov can be useful for is carrying bags,” joked a member of Fakhretdinov’s team.
Rinat, in an interview with the UFC press service, said that he wants to fight a fighter from the top 15, moreover, in a big tournament. After such a bright victory, the promotion is simply obliged to give him such an opportunity.

The fight in the Hype promotion took place in Yerevan.

Olympic champion and former interim WBA super featherweight champion Albert Batyrgaziev decided to take a break from his professional career.
At the beginning of July in Istanbul at the “IBA.PRO 8” tournament, Batyrgaziev lost early to the British James Dickens and lost the IBA.PRO champion and interim WBA champion titles in the second featherweight division. For the 27-year-old Russian, this was the first defeat in his professional career.

I promise this new chapter will be just as honest and purposeful. I’m not saying goodbye, I’m just saying “goodbye,” Batyrgaziev wrote in the Telegram channel.
Batyrgaziev won gold in the weight category up to 57 kg at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. In the professional ring he has 12 wins and one loss.

Russian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan said that he will give his compatriot Sharabutdin Magomedov, nicknamed Shara Bullet, an apartment in Yerevan if he defeats him in a grappling fight.
The fight is scheduled for December 30 and should take place in Yerevan.
