Wychryst defeated the 47-year-old American veteran. But without knockout, on points
17 December undefeated Ukrainian heavyweight Victor Vikhrist (10-0, 7 KOs) won another fight for the 11th time in a row in his professional career.
His opponent in a war in Göppingen, Germany, was a 47-year-old American veteran. Franklin Lawrence (21–3–2, 16 knockouts).
Lawrence had lost his previous fight against Andy Ruiz in 2016 by a unanimous decision in a 10-round match. In fights with famous boxers, Lawrence recorded two more defeats – he was defeated by Oliver McCall and Bermain Stiverne.
30-year-old Vykhryst knocked the veteran onto the platform in the 5th round, but was unable to finish. After the 8-round matches, it was time to count the scorecards. The referee noted a unanimous victory for Vykhrist in the points.
