Alexander Emelianenko protested the result of the fight against blogger Kovalenko

The manager of the Russian mixed martial arts fighter Alexander Emelianenko Nikita Burchak told Match TV that the athlete’s team filed a protest against the result of the fight against blogger Svyatoslav Kovalenko.
– We filed an appeal against the result of the fight between Alexander Emelianenko and Svyatoslav Kovalenko. We believe that the judges made the wrong decision. We asked to invite an independent panel of judges to re-evaluate the fight and possibly review its results,” Burchak told Match TV.
On Friday in Moscow, 41-year-old Emelianenko lost a split decision to 32-year-old Kovalenko in a fight under the rules of MMA with restrictions.
