Wilder’s trainer identifies desirable opponents for his fighter
Malik ScottTrainer of former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs), he chose the best opponents for his fighter.
“I sincerely believed that Usyk would duel with Helenius because it was said so. But Usyk has big plans for Tyson Fury. This is the commercial aspect of our sport.
If everything depended on me, Deontay would fight Anthony Joshua. Our entire team wants this battle, but recovery is what matters to Anthony right now. So we’re talking about who we can catch. But at the same time, everything has to meet the high-end boxing criteria in terms of marketing, fans, and so on.
Before my fight with Helenius I said I wanted Usyk or AJ. With Usyk, everything is clear, he wants to wait for Fury, but I think Joshua is free. I think it’s available now,” said Scott.
Earlier, Joshua had promised that his fight with Deontay Wilder would definitely come true.
