Former ACA heavyweight champion Evgeny Goncharov in an interview with Metaratings.ru called the fight with Muhumat Vakhaev at the ACA 150 tournament the best fight of his career.

The fight between Goncharov and Vakhaev lasted the prescribed three rounds of five minutes each. The judges gave the victory to Goncharov.

– Endurance was Vakhaev’s trump card three years ago. Now I would have had enough for two more rounds. Vakhaev himself became stronger, but I added a lot more. He became 10 times stronger than he was three years ago. He also added, but it was not enough. Now I’m better.

There was nothing dangerous in the fight for me. When he transferred me, I knew that I would get up. At the end of the first round, there were 40–50 seconds left. There was no point in wasting energy. I just rested, blocked punches and counted on the spurt in the second and third rounds. It was my best fight in my career. I showed everything I could. It was also his best fight. He really added and grew as a fighter, punched, fought, showed good control. But I was better. I’m not interested in a trilogy with him.
