Former WBC world light heavyweight champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk has announced that he is preparing to return to the ring in January.

– I’m coming back, I confirm. In my case unfortunately I can’t… I would like to do it like Ivan Redkach did. But I can’t do that. That’s why I’m working on it. Now I’m getting ready for January, there are still options in March.

But I did not sign the contract. These dates have already been postponed three times. Now I’m getting ready for January. The opposition will not be champions, they will be at the top. There will be some objections to return. There will be an opponent that I have to pass easily in order to regain the feeling I should have in the ring.

Then maybe something more serious will happen in March. But again, I don’t want to reassure anyone that it will be 100%. Because I’ve already been given three appointments and all three have failed. So the first thing I’ll do when I sign the contract is to post a poster for my comeback challenge. But now it’s such a teaser that you can call it whatever you want. Yes, I am preparing, I am constantly training. However, it is quite difficult to find a rival and a team to work with.

– The opponent is still unknown?

– Not for you yet. There are options for me. Gvozdyk, I don’t want to exaggerate, but if it’s him, I can describe my opponent in three words – we’ve got what we’ve got, – said Gvozdyk.
