Former manager Joshua: “We did everything we could in our fight against Usyk”
Robert GarciaFormer manager Anthony Joshua praised the English player’s performance in the rematch against WBA, WBO and IBF title holder Alexander Usik (20-0, 13 KOs).
“We had a good plan and we had good luck in this fight. Yes we didn’t win but we must remember that we are fighting perhaps the best fighter regardless of weight category.
Usyk is a great fighter and my first fight with Anthony against such a boxer was a test. We did everything we could. We had good times but we didn’t win.
If Anthony decides to train with someone else, I wish him good luck. If he wants to train with me and comes to California, that’s fine. I think it will work for Joshua,” Garcia said.
