Filip HRGOVIC: “Usyk is a great fighter but also a fighter”
Croatian boxer Filip Hrgović (15-0, 12 KOs) WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) said what he thinks about it.
“Usyk is a great fighter, but also a fighter. He is not only a technically, tactically competent boxer, but also a fighter. Usyk gives 100 percent, throws a lot of punches. Mentally he is really strong.
Usyk is a warrior, no doubt about it. Anthony Joshua had a good ninth round and I think it was the only round he did well. Joshua went forward with body shots. The punches blocked, but Joshua caused Usyk to lose his balance. So Anthony has to fight every round just like he did in the ninth round. But we have what we have. I hope I can get in the ring with Usyk and show him how to fight,” the Croatian said in an interview with TRU SCHOOL SPORTS YouTube channel.
Note that Hrgovic is a mandatory contender for the IBF title challenge.
