Russian MMA fighter Vyacheslav Vasilevsky believes that the former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov is mentally tired of martial arts and everything connected with them.

Nurmagomedov previously posted a photo with the fighters on the social network and left a caption: “I hope my decision will only benefit, I hugged you all tightly. Thank you, you have been a big reason for my success in sports.”

– I would take Khabib’s words seriously. He once said that he would end his career and ended it, although many thought that these were just words. Why does he do it? There was a lot of MMA in his life. From early childhood he was engaged in martial arts. Perhaps now, when he no longer needs it to make money, and before that he did it, he decided to completely move away from MMA and change his life.

Even psychologists advise changing their activities every seven years, and Khabib has been doing this for much longer. I think that this is a normal decision, because he has already accumulated moral fatigue from martial arts and everything connected with them, ”Metaratings.ru quotes Vasilevsky.

Nurmagomedov became the UFC champion in 2018 and made three belt defenses, ending his career in the fall of 2020. Under his leadership, Islam Makhachev and Usman Nurmagomedov won the champion titles in the UFC and Bellator lightweight divisions, respectively.
