Former undisputed world light heavyweight champion Roy Jones Jr. told Match TV about the conditions under which his exhibition fight with Fedor Emelianenko could take place.
– At the end of 2021, the idea of holding your exhibition fight with Fedor Emelianenko was actively discussed. How realistic is this idea now?
“If our (exhibition) fight with Fedor Emelianenko is shown on a channel with millions of subscribers, then it can take place,” Roy Jones Jr. told Match TV.
American Jones, who has a Russian passport, has 66 wins (47 by knockout) and nine losses in the professional ring. Fedor Emelianenko won 40 MMA victories and lost six times. Emelianenko is slated to rematch Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader on February 4. This fight could be the last in Fedor’s career.
