Giorikas Pilidis: “We wrestlers are always the poorest”

Hosting on Grigoris Arnaoutoglou’s show The 2 Night Show on Tuesday night (2/23), Giorikas Pilidis revealed that Survivor wasn’t for him while also pointing out the meager financial backing for the wrestlers.

The 2-night show hosted world wrestling champion Giorikas Pilidis. The young athlete recently retired from survival reality show Survivor.

Speaking to Grigoris Arnaoutoglou, Pilidis stressed that Survivor is not for him while pointing out the financial problems faced by Greek athletes.

“Sport is my field. I’ve dedicated my life to the sport and now I’ve competed in a TV game that wasn’t my style,” he initially told Survivor.

We wrestlers are always the poorest. We wanted a little support, we’re not asking for much. Our preparation and some pocket money for expenses. being able to eat properly. We’re talking about 300 euros per month, we’re not talking about more amounts. The athlete has to borrow to go to the races.
