Eddie Hearn: There’s a chance that Fury and Usyk won’t fight
Organizer Eddie Hearn voiced his opinion on a possible fight for the undisputed world title between WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and WBC belt holder Tyson Fury.
“Nothing is certain in boxing. I think there is a possibility that Fury will not fight Usyk. I think Fury will fight the Ukrainian, but if not, he could get a lot more money for his fight with Anthony Joshua. Maybe we do this fight in the summer. I have no idea about it. .
The same goes for Anthony’s fight with Deontay Wilder. In my opinion, these are the matches that should be in 2023. My guess is that Joshua will perform for another three years. He wants to fight everybody, but it’s better to schedule fights earlier,” Hearn said.
As you know, the Usyk-Fury fight is scheduled for April 29 this year.
