Bazinyan’s opponent does not measure up,

Eye of the Tiger presented Wednesday the official weighing of the second gala of its 10th anniversary series which will take place tomorrow at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal in front of an audience.

The event will notably feature Erik Bazinyan (26-0, 20 KOs) against Reinaldo Paniagua (17-1, 16 KOs).

Although his opponent didn’t make the weight, the NABF super middleweight title will still be on the line for Erik Bazinyan.

Should Paniagua win the fight, he will not be able to get his hands on the belt since he was not able to make the weight at 168 lbs.

Boxers who have not respected the weight appearing in the contract must return 20% of their purse to their adversary.

Just before the final, Steven Butler (28-3-1, 24 K.-O.) will face Hector Manuel Zepeda (20-3, 6 K.-O.).

Steve Claggett (30-7-2, 20 K.-O.), Jean-Gardy François (1-0, 1 K.-O.), Martine Vallières Bisson (4-0, 1 K.-O.) as well that Hamza Khabbaz (2-0, 1 K.-O.) will also be in action during this evening.

Naoya Inoue reacts to his victory and Usik’s arrival in Saudi Arabia

Absolute world champion in the second lightweight category Naoya Inoue (32-0, 27 KOs) commented on the victory of the fight played on Saturday, December 27th.

In Saudi Arabia, the Japanese representative defeated Mexican Alan David Picasso by unanimous decision and defended his WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF titles.

After the final bell, the reporter asked Inoue whether he should take the first place in the ranking of the world’s strongest boxers, which is currently occupied by Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.

“Mr. Usyk came to watch my fight tonight, but I’m actually not very happy with my performance. I should have done much better. So I won’t say anything about the rankings and I’ll do much better next time,” Inoue admitted.

Usik visited Riyadh to watch the Japanese “Beast” fight and after the fight, he went to the ring to congratulate the champion on his victory.

The strongest boxers of our time – Ukrainian Alexander Usik and Japanese Naoya Inoue – We met in the ring of Mohammed Abdo Aren in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on December 27th.

On this day, a boxing night took place, the main event of which was the fight in the weight category up to 55.3 kg. WBC, WBO, WBA, IBF world champion Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) defeated his Mexican opponent Alan David Picasso (32-0-1, 17 KOs).

The fight continued for all 12 rounds and ended with a confident victory for the Japanese “Beast” by unanimous decision.

After the final gong, Usik approached the champion in the ring, congratulated him on his victory and shook hands. Inoue admitted that he was not 100% satisfied with his performance and appreciated the Ukrainian’s place in the ranking of the strongest boxers of our time.

Next year, Usik plans to fight against former American champion Deontay Wilder, and Naoya is considering two options: Junto Nakatani or Jesse Rodriguez.

Japanese Naoya Inoue defended his title of absolute world boxing champion in the second bantamweight division.

In a 12-round fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he defeated Mexican David Picasso by unanimous decision: 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111.

Inoue defended his title of absolute world champion in the weight category up to 55.22 kg for the sixth time.

The 32-year-old Japanese now has 32 victories (27 by knockout) in 32 fights. 25-year-old Picasso suffered the first defeat in his career; he also has 32 wins (17 by knockout) and one draw.

In the co-main fight of the evening, former world champion in three weight categories, Japanese Junto Nakatani, won the second bantamweight bout over Mexican Sebastian Hernandez.

The fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended with Nakatani winning by unanimous decision: 115–113, 115–113, 118–110.

Now 27-year-old Nakatani has 32 victories (24 by knockout) and not a single defeat. The 25-year-old Hernandez has 20 wins (18 by knockout) and one loss.
