Alexander Krasyuk, general manager of K2 Promotions promotion company, explained why the fight between WBC heavyweight belt holder Tyson Fury and WBA, WBO and IBF champion Alexander Usik will not be.

I hear everywhere that Usyk is going to take the biggest payoff of his career to fight Fury, but that’s not true. The amount Usyk should earn in this fight is probably three times less than what he earned in his last performance. So it’s definitely not the biggest coin for Usyk.

He agreed to a 70 to 30 split because he wanted to be a part of the undisputed heavyweight championship fight. Usyk wanted the world, and especially his homeland, Ukraine, where he is a source of inspiration and hope, to see this struggle.”

Recall that Oleksandr Usyk defeated Briton Anthony Joshua in his last fight in August 2022. According to unofficial data, the Ukrainian received $ 35 million for this fight.
