Promoter JOSHUA: “We are already negotiating a fight with Ngannou”
organizer Eddie Hearn Former world champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) has already prepared everything for him to fight against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in his next fight, Matchroom said.
“Now that Francis Ngannou has beaten Tyson Fury, I’m ready for it. I haven’t talked to AJ; he might say ‘I want to fight Wilder, I want to do that’ but… I’ve already talked to a few people in Saudi Arabia.
I think the Fury-Usyk fight will be a disaster, but if there is a contract – and undisputed title fights are always good – again I need to talk to the boss, but I like Joshua – Ngannou. It is easy for me to organize such a fight.
You have to respect Francis. He just beat Tyson Fury. The judge’s decision should have been in his favor,” Hearn said.
On October 28, a 10-round fight took place between Tyson Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. Fury earned a hard-fought split decision victory (95-94 Ngannou, 96-93 Fury, 95-94 Fury).
