Sterling said he would like to have a beer with Ian

The reigning champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the bantamweight division Aljamain Sterling spoke about the desire to drink beer with the Russian Peter Yan.

The first fight between Yan and Sterling took place in March last year and ended with the disqualification of the Russian for an illegal strike. In the second fight, which took place on April 9, Yang lost by split decision.

– My statements to Jan, such as “Oh my God, I can’t stand this guy”, were never personal. I would even have a beer with him.

We used to say bad things to each other all the time, but I think the only rivalry between us is that we are sure that we are both the best. When there are two guys who believe in it, it’s only natural that they can bump their foreheads,” Sterling said in an interview on the MMA Fighting on SBN YouTube channel.

Sterling has 21 wins and three losses in MMA, Jan has 16 wins and three losses.
