The contender for the fight with Usyk became a free agent
Croatian boxer Filip Hrgovic (15-0, 12 KOs) became a free agent. This was reported by columnist and insider Dan Raphael.
IBF mandatory heavyweight contender Filip Hrgovic will become a free agent for the promotion on Wednesday. According to the IBF, the winner of the Fury-Usyk fight must fight him in the next bout or he will be stripped of his title. His manager, Keith Connolly, looks after everyone, so it will be interesting to see who Hrgovic signs,” said Rafael.
It should be noted that Hrgovic’s previous promoter was Kalle Sauerland (Wassermann Boxing), but he mainly performed as part of his co-promoter Eddie Hearn’s (Matchroom Boxing) show.
