Joshua ready to face Ngannou on December 23
organizer Eddie Hearn Matchroom reported that former world champion Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) is ready to fight against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou on December 23.
“We would have accepted this challenge on December 23rd, no problem. In any case, we are considering this date for Joshua.
Maybe I’ll contact his team and say, “Listen, if you’re looking for an opponent for Francis, AJ is ready to fight on December 23rd, no problem. I want to get more promotion time to make this one of the biggest fights. But if not then that’s okay,” Hearn said.
On October 28, a 10-round fight took place between Tyson Fury and former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. Fury earned a hard-fought split decision win (95-94 Ngannou, 96-93 Fury, 95-94 Fury).
