“We won’t leave it like this.” The Russian boxer ran away from the gym in tears. Video

A promising athlete defiantly left the ring. The opponent applauded the empty seat.

A promising Russian boxer covered his face with gloves and cried. Karen could not believe what had happened, and soon, together with the team, defiantly left the hall.

The scandal at the boxing evening in Moscow will obviously continue.

The referee’s strange decision

The duel of Russian boxers Karen Margaryan (4-0-2) and Georgy Chelokhsaev (20-2-1) as part of a boxing evening in Moscow promised the audience an interesting confrontation. Both are famous for their high-quality and spectacular technology.

From the first seconds, Margaryan, younger and hungry for victories, flew forward, clearly hoping to stun an experienced opponent. But George worked competently as the second number, and then gradually began to seize the initiative. Chelokhsaev led with a slight advantage, as evidenced by the referee cards, but there was no total superiority. Before the start of the fifth round, two side referees gave victory to Chelokhsaev with a difference of two points. Another referee had a draw.

Both athletes started the fifth round actively. But towards the end, Karen lost his balance and fell without the help of an opponent. The judge naturally did not open the score, allowing the boxer to get up and continue the fight. Margaryan did not take a break to restore his breath, but immediately rushed to the attack.

Georgy skillfully parried the onslaught of the opponent, and then failed Karen and struck him with a smashing blow from below with his left hand right in the jaw. After that, Karen staggered, and he went into a deaf defense. Chelokhsaev rushed to finish off the opponent, unleashing a hail of blows on him, the last of which fell behind the ear, closer to the back of the head.

This forced Margaryan to kneel down to catch his breath and recover. Almost always, the judges in such situations open the score, but not the referee Yuri Koptsev. He immediately began waving his arms, signaling the end of the duel.

The actions of the most experienced and respected judge clearly looked hasty. Karen got up quickly. He did not stagger, and he spoke normally with the judge, expressing dissatisfaction with the decision. Misunderstanding also reigned in the corner of the boxer.

After a short argument with the referee, Margaryan went to the ropes, covered his face with gloves and burst into tears. Karen could be understood, because he had never lost to his opponents in the ring before this dubious decision. Without waiting for the announcement of the final results of the fight, Margaryan and his team left the ring, literally running away from the hall. Chelokhsaev, at the time of the announcement of the results of the fight, stood in the center of the ring next to the judge and even applauded the empty place where his opponent was supposed to be.

“The judge decided to act so brazenly”

After the fight, the frustrated Margaryan did not hold back his emotions in an address recorded for fans on his social networks.

The judge decided to act so brazenly. They boxed well. We took three or four rounds. And then I slipped and fell. The referee didn’t even count. This doesn’t happen. Thanks to everyone who worried about me, – Karen shared his experiences.

But we won’t leave it like that. Rematch is coming soon, expect me in the ring soon. I’ll be back and it will be hot, very hot,” the boxer added.

It is noteworthy that Karen did not accept the loss. In his social networks, he did not add a one in the defeat column to the record, writing it like this: 5 (1) -0-2.

Surely the promoters will be happy to organize a revenge, and Chelokhsaev himself, most likely, wants to prove that he is capable of defeating Margaryan without controversial refereeing decisions. It’s just a pity that in Karen’s real statistics, the “one” in the defeat column will not disappear anywhere.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan: “Jake Paul took a terrible hit from Joshua, it could end badly”

UFC commentator Joe Rogan advised boxer-blogger Jake Paul to no longer fight with opponents of the level of former world champion Anthony Joshua.

On Friday, Paul lost to Joshua in the sixth round by knockout at a tournament in Miami. After the fight, the blogger was hospitalized with a broken jaw.

    – I believe that a person can withstand a certain number of blows in the ring without serious consequences. Joshua’s knockout blow was terrible and equal to ten normal strong blows. Jake Paul took a lot of damage.

He shouldn’t continue like this for long because he’ll have to pay for it and it’s not worth it. Serious brain disorders lead to depression, which leads you to addiction. Many become gambling addicts, drug addicts, and alcoholics after finishing their boxing career. “Many people act hastily,” Rogan said on social networks.

Former WBA, WBO, IBF heavyweight champion, 2012 Olympic champion Joshua has 29 wins and four losses. Paul won 12 victories and suffered two defeats in the professional ring.

Ankalaev’s manager: “We will insist on a third fight with Pereira, before that we can meet with Prohaska”

The manager of the Russian UFC fighter Magomed Ankalaev, Rizvan Magomedov, said that the fight against the Czech Jiri Prochazka would be the best continuation of his client’s career.

On October 5, at UFC 320 in Las Vegas, Ankalaev lost the light heavyweight championship belt, losing to Brazilian Alex Pereira by technical knockout in the first round. This was Ankalaev’s last fight at the moment. The Russian previously defeated Pereira in March.

    — Alex Pereira is not too eager to fight Magomed for the third time, but we will insist on it. First, Magomed needs to have one more fight, for example, against Jiri Prochazka. This would be excellent preparation for a new title fight,” MMA Arena quotes Magomedov as saying.

The 33-year-old Ankalaev has 20 wins, two losses, one draw and one fight declared invalid. 33-year-old Prochazka won 32 victories and suffered five defeats, one of his fights ended in a draw.
