Tyson Fury: “After beating Usik, I will keep the WBC belt just for myself”
Briton Tyson Fury said he would give up his WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO belts if he beat Alexander Usik.
“I will beat Alexander Usyk. I am the WBC and Lineal Champion and I will take the Ring Magazine belt for the third time. The rest of the belts do not bother me.
“I’m going to vacate them and let someone else fight for those titles and take what’s mine,” Fury said.
We should also point out that Tyson Fury often does not keep his promises (his words about ending his career have already been heard many times, for example), so these words should not be taken too seriously.
The fight will take place on February 17, 2024 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).
Previously, this meeting was planned to be held on December 23, but Tyson Fury was interrupted during the fight with Francis Ngannou and the match was postponed.
