Usyk used rematch with Joshua to raise $1M for Ukraine
WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion Alexander Usyk He said he plans to issue 2,000 unique tokens (NFTs) to provide financial assistance to his compatriots affected by the Russian occupation. According to Usyk, he wants to raise about a million dollars this way.
“Many people in Ukraine need help now. Once these tokens are released, I think many will really get help. These will be the people who really need it,” Usyk said.
Official NFTs for the fight will be released before the rematch. They will be designed by artist Dosbrak, who has worked with other famous fighters such as Mike Tyson and Conor McGregor. Also, one of the NFT buyers will get two tickets to the fight.
