Eddie HERN: Joshua won’t go back to what he did in his first Usyk fight
Head of promotional company Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearn He said Anthony Joshua would act differently in the rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
“July 23 is one of the possible dates. We are finalizing the date now. We are close to it. But the fight will definitely take place in July. We will let you know the date and place in time.
Joshua won’t go back to what he did in the first fight. He knows he’s approaching this fight from the wrong direction. But in the same Dillian Whyte’s case, we said he should close the distance and so on. We said that AJ should do these too. But sometimes the opponent won’t let you do this.
So Joshua needs to change his style, act more aggressively. Everyone understands that he must be smart too. I think he can. I truly believe that Joshua can win this war. We believe he can win and we can’t wait to finish this fight,” Eddie Hearn told Boxing Social on YouTube.
