Prograis updates his nasty anti-record in fight with Haney
On the night of December 10, Americans Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) won the WBC junior welterweight title with a convincing victory over Regis Prograis (29-2, 24 KOs).
Interestingly, Prograis not only lost all the rounds on the jury cards, getting knocked down (Haney won with a score of 120-107), but also updated the anti-record for the number of strikes in a 12-round fight. To CompuBox. Regis landed only 36 accurate punches in the 36-minute fight. It is interesting that the previous result lasted less than a month – Edwin De Los Santos threw 40 punches in his fight with Shakur Stevenson.
Thanks to Haney being elusive, Prograis only hit 10% of his shots on target. Note that for top-level boxers, this figure can exceed 40%. Haney, for example, hit 47% of his powerful shots on goal.
Keep in mind that Devin Haney is a two-division world champion, having previously vacated all of his lightweight belts.
