“I started smiling more often”: Wilder admitted to using hallucinogens
Former WBC world heavyweight champion American Deontay Wilder He openly stated that the drink ayahuasca, an entheogen and hallucinogen traditionally prepared by shamans of Indian tribes in the Amazon basin and used by local residents to “communicate with spirits” and achieve healing abilities in the human body, helps overcome difficulties and problems in life.
“Ayahuasca is a wonderful thing. I recommend everyone to try it. Ayahuasca definitely released something inside me. Many people say that I am happier and more sensitive to the world around me, and I really feel that this is true. I am much happier, as if a heavy burden has been lifted off my shoulders. Now I understand the value of even the smallest and most insignificant things in life.
I’m not saying I haven’t done this before, but it’s happening on a larger scale now. I was filled with positive emotions, I started smiling more often… People are skeptical of ayahuasca for some reasons. They are a little afraid, but I always say that you have to overcome your fears. Because they can stop you from getting to the next level,” the boxer shared to Boxing Scene.
Let’s remember that after two consecutive defeats to Tyson Fury, Wilder returned to the ring with a victory by knocking out Robert Helenius in the first round in October 2022, and his next fight will be against Joseph Parker on December 23.
