On April 30, Sochi hosted a martial arts tournament under the auspices of Black Sea Fighter (Russia) and Mix Fight Events (Spain) promotions. The venue for Muay Thai, MMA and K1 fights was the RED ARENA sports and entertainment venue in the Krasnaya Polyana gambling zone.

In the fight for the title of the champion of the promotion Mix Fight Events in Thai boxing in the category up to 58.5 kg, the star of Russian MMA and Thai boxing Vartan Asatryan met with a fighter from Iran Mukhamed Zarekmali. The duel took place with the advantage of the Russians. In the third round, Zaremkali was in the ring and could no longer get up. The Iranian athlete needed the help of a doctor. Asatryan won an early victory and won the title.
