Russian heavyweight Maxim Babanin defeated Kevin Johnson in a boxing match in Chelyabinsk.
The fight lasted all six rounds and ended with Babanin’s victory by unanimous decision – 60-54, 60-54, 60-54.
For 35-year-old Babanin, who is undefeated, this victory was the seventh in his career. The 44-year-old Johnson’s professional record is 36 wins, 23 losses and 2 draws.
In April, American Johnson turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to obtain Russian citizenship. It was reported that the boxer submitted all the necessary documents in Samara. It is also known that the athlete chose his middle name Vladimirovich in honor of the head of state.
